Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center brings “Superhero Science” to Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn community is invited to discover the science behind superpowers as McWane on the Move presents “Superhero Science” on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center.

This hands-on program from the McWane Science Center uses engaging demonstrations to explore the real-world science behind popular superhero abilities. Designed for students in grades 2–8, the presentation blends physical science and chemistry concepts with interactive experiments that spark curiosity and imagination.

Participants will experience high-energy demonstrations that break down scientific principles in an educational and entertaining way. From exploring forces and energy to understanding chemical reactions, “Superhero Science” encourages young learners to think critically while having fun.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Registration is now open through MyRec. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
